It’s been a while since any update on Bad Dream Entertainment’s goings-on, so I thought I’d let readers know what the current status is. Our latest release, the dark fiction anthology Dark Little Dreams came out last year and I hope you’ve all had the chance to read it; it was a lot of fun to work on and it had a really great cast of authors contributing stories. However, after winding down from that book BDE is now on official hiatus for the immediate future, and with the current plan there won’t be any books being published this year, nor will there be any open submissions for manuscripts or short fiction. I’ve got a few personal projects and opportunities I’m pursuing for the time being, and will be focusing my time on those until I can put my full attention and resources back to publishing books. (If you’ve got a thing for loud ugly music, feel free to wander over to my heavy metal podcast and give it a listen as an example of one thing I’m spending time on.)
BDE isn’t going anywhere though, trust me. I’ve had a great time starting to build this little press with the current few titles available, and there’s a hell of a lot of work to do, which I’m really excited about. There are plans for specific projects, but they will remain on the shelf until they’re ready to incubate in full. I will keep the press active on social media for updates and randomness, so make sure to follow on Facebook and Twitter. Hopefully it won’t be long until you’re reading more dark and goofy fiction from Bad Dream, and until then, keep it creepy!
